ACE 2011 Older Scout Program


The Advanced Camper Experience, or A.C.E., at

Camp Friedlander has just what your older Scouts are

looking for! This program gives Scouts the opportunity

to try their hand at some new and exciting outdoor

activities as well as some traditional favorites!


A.C.E. participants will experience:

- Mountain boarding through Camp Friedlander

- Canoeing or kayaking the Little Miami River

- Hydrobike racing on Lake Marge Schott

- Mountain biking along the Little Miami River

- An overnight experience in “Old Camp Friedlander”

- Aquatics Activities


A.C.E. is a 3 hour program offered in both morning and afternoon sessions, Monday through Friday.

Participants will move through a different A.C.E. activity each day they are at Camp Friedlander.

Participants should plan to bring a backpack for their overnight, wilderness experience.

A.C.E. participants must be at least 14 years old and must sign up in advance. A.C.E. has an

additional $20 cost that covers all of these exciting opportunities. Space is limited so sign up soon!

Snow Covered Summer Camp

Trailblazer needs a trail blazed to get to it.
Not too much boating going on.
Boats frozen down.
Lake Marge Schott frozen solid.
Lots of snow all over camp.
Some brave scouts spending the weekend in the now and ice doing a little backpacking.
As winter descends on Camp Friedlander, snow has taken a grasp on the camps typical physique and has transformed it into a winter wonderland that most scouts would not recognize. Here are a few photos of the 4 inches of snow blanketing camp from this week.
